Greater Outdoors

Gear up for SEWE at Grady Ervin & Co., which opened the Field Sport and Gunroom on the second floor of its King Street shop. Among the expanded outdoor offerings, you’ll find menswear from the likes of James Purdey & Sons, Dubarry of Ireland, Holland and Holland, and Tom Beckbe, plus leather accessories and locally handmade knives. Fine sporting arms are on display from Italian makers Beretta and Caesar Guerini. ”We’re taking consignment of exceptional field-grade guns and sporting clay guns,” notes owner Chip Ervin. [313 King St., gradyervin.com]

Burning Desires

“The enjoyment of a good, simple cocktail” inspired Rewined candle company’s new collection, serving up soy wax concoctions in five scents, including “Cosmopolitan,“ “Margarita,” and “Mojito French 75.” Charleston’s Stitch Design Co. created the gold-foil, letter-pressed labels, each bearing a classic cocktail recipe. [shop-rewined.com] Another hot tip: Ali Miller, event director of Charleston Wine + Food, launched Lucerna Planta candles in December. Plant-based and hand-poured, the six varieties were inspired by ladies in Miller’s life; each woman selected a nonprofit—Plastic Pollution Coalition, for example—to receive 20 percent of proceeds from her scent. [lucernaplanta.com]

Be Still, Our Hearts

Local retailers are getting busy with Valentine’s events. Celadon’s Local Love Pop-up brings together artists and craftsmen, including Flowershop, Texture Design Co., and Christina Jervey Jewelry, on February 9. [celadonathome.com] Maris DeHart observes Galentine’s (aka February 13) with an evening of bubbly and cocktails, sweet treats, and 25 percent off everything in the store. [marisdehart.com] And on February 14 and 15, Croghan’s Jewel Box hosts Jude Francis—known for its customizable hoop-and-charm earrings, stackable bangles, cocktail rings, and more. [croghansjewelbox.com]

Get Cooking

A hearty stew bubbling in a colorful Dutch oven on a wintry day? Your Le Creuset dreams can be a more wallet-friendly reality with a visit to the 94-year-old brand’s outlet store at Tanger. Debuting in late 2018, the shop is stocked with enameled cast iron, stainless steel cookware, and kitchen and wine tools aplenty. [4840 Tanger Outlet Blvd., Ste. 421, North Charleston; lecreuset.com]
