Calder Clark’s holiday line for Dixie Design Collective features customizable cards, gift tags, and party invites, priced by set from $16.

Small but Mighty

Local boutique Hampden is known in the Holy City for the first-class shopping experience it provides, and now there’s even more opportunity to indulge. Small by Hampden is a brand-new sister shop that caters less to statement pieces for special occasions and more to effortless staples for everyday life. Though Small lives up to its name in its petite King Street space, the store offers an abundance of versatile, ready-to-wear looks from some of the boutique’s most popular designers, including Ulla Johnson, Rag & Bone, and Ganni. 324 King St., hampdenclothing.com

Season’s Greetings

Charlestonians may know Calder Clark as a celebrated wedding designer and consultant, but this winter the powerhouse adds stationery design to her resume. Every year, Alabama-based stationery company Dixie Design Collective collaborates with female tastemakers across the United States to create a line of cards that capture the signature style of each designer. This season, Clark was chosen to take part. She drew inspiration from the mountains of North Carolina that she grew up visiting when creating her collection of orange, green, and mushroom-hued holiday cards, gift tags, and invitations, available online. dixie-design.com

Shades of Green

After searching high and low for a pair of affordable, sustainably made sunglasses and coming up short, local entrepreneur Molly Fienning, cofounder of kids sunglasses brand Babiators, took matters into her own hands. Enter Notra, a new line of grown-up shades with handmade frames crafted from an innovative Italian material of cotton and wood-pulp fibers for a 100-percent biodegradable product. Paired with minimal, biodegradable packaging, each pair ships to customers with zero waste, making for style that looks good without leaving a trace. notra.eco

One-of-a-Kind Shine

After years of selling her simple, handmade necklaces at the Charleston City Market, Jessica Cashman, owner and designer of JK Designs, has taken an ambitious new step. In October, the jewelry brand moved into its first permanent retail space on Market Street, where shoppers can create custom pieces from an array of high-quality, semi-precious gems and metals. In the new shop, Cashman looks forward to private design sessions for bridal orders and other bespoke projects. 112 North Market St., jkdesignsjewelry.com
