Fish Catering served a first course of balsamic marinated tomatoes stacked and topped with homemade mozzarella and basil micro greens. Main course choices included grouper over grits and fillet in a Firefly Sweet Tea Vodka sauce

Jason’s twin niece and nephew, Ella and David, served as flower girl and ring bearer in togs sewn by Jordan’s aunt.

Each guest found a glass etched with their name at their place setting. The crystal served both as a place card and favor.

Petite pink and cream rose bouquets adorned the plantation home.

Soirée custom-made this dance floor with its persimmon-colored “J & J” monogram.

Spheres of hydrangeas and roses were planted in glossy white candelabras to line the table where the wedding party (and their plus-ones) sat. Jordan, who tends toward straightforward silhouettes and clean-line styles, says surprised herself when she chose a Vera Wang gown heavy on lace detailing.

The Lettered Olive bound wedding programs with pale pink satin because the bride adores ribbon.

Soirée marked tags with a custom-made stamp of the couple’s “J & J” monogram and tied each to dinner napkins bound with dusty rose and baby pink ribbons.

Soirée wove cheery pink ribbons through the backs of each dining chair and hung table numbers adorned with a motif that appeared on Jordan and Jason’s stationery suite. More ribbons were sewn onto the reception tablecloths.

Wedding Cakes by Jim Smeal dressed layers of butter cake with lemon curd and almond-amaretto icing. The scrolled and textured decorations were informed by patterns on the couple’s letterpress wedding invitations. Fresh green hydrangea blooms offset the otherwise neutral color palette.

“We loved the turquoise windows,” says Jordan of Second Presbyterian Church.

Following the wedding festivities, the newlyweds enjoyed a honeymoon in Kauai and Maui, Hawaii.

INITIAL IDEA: Tara and Kate Badger Little of Soirée by Tara Guérard took inspiration from the couple’s first names—Jordan and Jason—to fashion this door monogram

COLORFUL CHARACTERS: Lanell Padgett, Jordan’s mom, donned pink as an ode to her daughter’s favorite color, while Jason’s mother Jane McLain chose cornflower blue for her dress.

MONOGRAM MASTERPIECE: The Lettered Olive, a division of Soirée by by Tara Guérard, designed a J & J monogram that became a theme of the wedding. It first appeared as a wax seal on the invitation suite.

NICE NOTION: Since Jordan loves ribbons, Soirée by Tara Guérard added baby pink, white, and champagne colored ribbons on this escort table and throughout the reception.

IDEAL SETTING: The dining tent hosted a mix of long and round tables framed by a border of tall-backed lounge-like sectional seating. Of the centerpieces, Kate Badger Little of Soirée by Tara Guérard says “planting” blooms in tall candelabras added a modern twist on a traditional reception.

GET COMFORTABLE: A cozy lounge just off the dance floor hosted chic white couches where guests could rest from boogieing but still be in viewing range of the dancing.

Soirée gathered fabric to fashion a grand ceiling over the lounge area. To create a chic, club-like atmosphere, they hung minimalistic lampshades and decorated with square vases that brimmed with hydrangeas.

Jason’s nephew Westin beat the crowd to snap the newlyweds through the window of their getaway Rolls Royce.
