Advice

“Don’t compare your wedding to others, even when the pressure gets intense in the face of lavish weddings with seemingly endless budgets.” —Caitlin Bosh

Cost-Saving Tips

Favorite: Fashionista
Caitlin bought her $248 gown from ABS’s ready-to-wear line rather than from a pricier bridal collection and found her Stuart Weitzman shoes at an outlet. She customized an inexpensive blusher veil with a silk flower she found on eBay.

The Details

Wedding Party Attire: Bridesmaids wore $20 gift gowns the bride bought at Forever 21; groomsmen wore gifted seersucker suits.
Groom’s Cake: Instead of a groom’s cake, a $20 Publix cake (to celebrate the bride’s 84-year-old grandfather’s birthday) was served.

Total Spent: $20,000
