Courtney Fraylick & David Irvin

A mutual love of camping gave David the idea for a waterfall proposal at High Falls near Asheville, North Carolina. While Courtney sat on a rock, David began washing her feet. When she asked why, he replied, "Washing your feet is the ultimate act of service, and I want you to know I love you, and I'm ready to serve you for the rest of my life." With that, he showed her the ring and after she accepted, he showed where he’d carved “Mr. and Mrs. Irvin” into a tree nearby. The couple will wed March 11, 2012. Photography by Laurie Barnhill.
