Bella Bridesmaid's New Stock

Nicole Noble, Editorial Assistant

Stumped on bridesmaid dresses? While Charleston offers a host of options, one boutique in particular has troves of frocks coming in on a daily basis. King Street shop Bella Bridesmaid's list of featured designers includes locals and those from "off" alike.

As far as trends, Bella Bridesmaid's Allison Long says brides favor mixing and matching, which makes designers like local house LulaKate (where each dress can be customized using any color fabrics) especially popular. "I am doing more wedding parties using a color palette," explains Allison. "For example, I am doing seven dresses all in different shades of pink silk shantung but all will be in the same style."

The mainstay colors in the Holy City, Allison says, are navy and greens ("from kelly to celadon").

But Spring 2010 runways are inspiring a palette of neutral blush, ivory, and champagne-colored dresses.
