Rhythm on the River
A glorious full moon, twinkling candles, moss-draped trees, and live symphonic music created a lush atmosphere for Saturday night’s Rhythm on the River, the grand opening celebration of the Reverie on the Ashley condominiums. Guests mingled between several locations on the property- the end of the dock, tables beneath the oaks, the open garage, the penthouse, and the rooftop. The dock houses were swathed in large panels of white chiffon that billowed in the breeze, while the view from the penthouse gave guests a bird’s-eye view of the moon’s reflection dancing across the the Ashley River. The Charleston Symphony Orchestra, the beneficiary of the festivities, played a selection of lively contemporary tunes, which punctuated the night sky with giddy notes and familiar melodies.
Guests snacked on mini crabcakes courtesy of Steven Duvall, and the dessert table, with its assortment of treats and carafes of hot coffee, was a popular spot as the night drew on and the temperature dipped. The sudden cold snap that blew through the Lowcountry this weekend brought fall party apparel out from the back of the closet, and the evening yielded the first fur sighting of fall. Fall is in the air!
