Pie Pops, Pretty Gowns, and a Giveaway!
The new issue of Charleston Weddings arrives

Written by Melissa Bigner

Ok, I am full-on extra-excited about this latest issue of the magazine. I think it’s because it was so daggum fun to create—cake shoot! kids in the fashion story! so many pretty really-life and crafty weddings! Over the next weeks we’ll send out some teases some of the content that’s in the magazine and all the extras (recipes, bonus images, DIYs) on the newly updated website. Before any of that, though, be sure to click here to enter to win the Pie Pop kit giveaway from Pillsbury®. What’s that, you ask?

Well, the folks from the über-sweets factory contacted us asking if we wanted to give two of our readers a kit to make the pie pops (which are the new cupcakes, they said). We’d just photographed some terrific pops for the cake story that Twenty Six Divine had made and loved the idea of free goodies for you. So. Each giveaway includes a kit for 25 pops (coupons for crust, heart-shaped cookie cutters, pop sticks, cellophane, scalloped gift tags, and striped twine), an Anthropologie apron, a pie and cake stand, and a cookbook for newlyweds. Pretty sweet, huh? If you’re a bride, go for it, and if you’re an industry-type, share the news with your brides-to-be! And no matter what category you’re in, be sure to snag the recipe from Twenty Six Divine here.

In other news, Bella Bridesmaid just checked tell us about some cool deals. The bad news? Priscilla of Boston is shutting down. The good news: all POB bridesmaid samples are on sale at Bella Bridesmaid. Other deals? They are offering Coren Moore at 15 percent off. And last, their sale on LulaKate frocks will run through September 30, and ranges from five percent to 17 percent off, based on the gowns and numbers ordered. Contact Bella Bridesmaid for details!

And we were so app-y (sorry!) to celebrate the release of The Lettered Olive’s cool new stationery app at their sip ‘n’ see event this week. If you didn’t make it, visit their blog for details and some gorgeous photos! They joined with the gals from Soirée to debut new collections and show how the app lets brides convert iPads into stationery flipbooks of TLO’s lines. So much better than those enormous binders of old!

Ok. Gotta bolt to check out the new submissions that are pouring in for the next issue. If you’re in the industry or are a bride who’s already had a terrific Big Day and you want to share events with us, please see our new directions here. And if you’re looking for a new copy of the current issue, click here. Enjoy and to those who pitched in, thank you so very, very much.
