Casting Call
Charleston Casting #1 - (Online Application for Charleston Casting #1 CURRENTLY CLOSED). Open casting available at 2 pm.  Please arrive early to complete registration) Model Casting will be held at the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina, located at 20 Patriots Point, Mt. Pleasant, SC, 29464 on Saturday, September 24, 2011.  

Charleston Casting #2 - (Online Application for Charleston Casting #2 CURRENTLY CLOSED). Open model casting at 2 pm.  Please arrive 15 minutes early to complete registration)  Model Casting held at the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina, located at 20 Patriots Point, Mt. Pleasant, SC, 29464 on Saturday, October 22, 2011.    


Atlanta Casting - (Online Application for Atlanta Casting CURRENTLY CLOSED). Open model casting at 2 pm.  Please arrive 15 minutes early to complete registration)  Model Casting held at the Art Institute Atlanta-Decatur, located at One West Court Square, Suite 110, Decatur, GA, 30030 on Saturday, October 29, 2011.    


Charlotte Casting - Applications must be submitted by Friday, October 28, 2011 at 11 p.m. EST.  Model Casting held at the Art Institute of Charlotte located at 3 Lake Pointe Plaza, 2110 Water Ridge Parkway, Charlotte, NC, 28217 on Saturday, November 12, 2011

Models are required to submit an online application based on the city they select to cast in. Deadline to apply is based on city as outlined above.

NOTE: Once you have selected a city and casting date, that is the only city and date you are able to cast for. Multiple applications for multiple cities will not be accepted by CFW.

CASTING CALLS
Casting calls for the 2012 Charleston Fashion Week® Model Search will be held in Charleston, Charlotte, and Atlanta.

All applicants will be informed via email and/or phone at least one week prior to the casting call date if selected to attend. The email confirmation will include: the date and location of the casting call, and an assigned time to register. (Date and exact time are at the sole discretion of CFW and based on your casting selection on the application.)

REHEARSALS

Each model MUST attend three (3) rehearsals.  Mandatory model rehearsal dates are Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Charleston Harbor Resort and Marina located at 20 Patriots Point, Mt. Pleasant, SC, 29464, and Monday, March 19, 2012 at the CFW tents in Marion Square and one additional date as outlined below.   

Out-of-town models are responsible for providing their own transportation to/from Charleston to attend all mandatory rehearsals.  CFW will provide hotel accommodations for the March 19th rehearsal ONLY.

Models are required to attend an additional rehearsal in the city of their choice.  Location and dates are as follows.Check one of the three boxes below for the additional rehearsal you will attend. *

IN-STORE FITTINGS

If selected by a retail store, models are required to attend an in-store fitting on Sunday, January 22, 2012, the same weekend as the first mandatory model rehearsal.   Models cast for more than one show are required to attend a fitting for each store.  Final fittings will take place as needed and are at the sole discretion of the retailer. 

Out-of-town models are responsible for providing their own transportation to/from Charleston to attend all fittings and any necessary hotel accommodations.

EMERGING AND FEATURED DESIGNER FITTINGS

Models selected by an Emerging or Featured Designer are required to attend a fitting(s) beginning Sunday, March 19 – Friday, March 23, 2012 (exact date, time and location to be determined at a later date).  

WEEK OF THE EVENT

Charleston Fashion Week® 2012 takes place March 20 – 24, 2012. During the week, models are required to be at the tents as early as 3 p.m., Tuesday, March 20 - Saturday, March 24, 2012 for evening runway presentations and as early as 6 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2011 for the Spring Bridal Show.

STEP 2: UPLOAD PHOTOS

Models are required to submit (1) head shot and (1) full length photo.  Photos submitted must be recent and of professional quality.  Models unable to submit images from a professional photographer, please be sure you use a blank wall as a back-drop and/or an appropriate setting.


All images must be low-resolution images (72 dpi) in jpeg format. Maximum size per image is 2MB.

STEP 3: RULES AND SUBMISSION
A Model Participation and Release Form will be provided to all models invited to the CFW casting call.  All applicants will be informed via email and/or phone if they have been selected to attend a casting.  
 
EMAIL INFORMATION TO INCLUDE:
 
·     Date, address, and time to register for your casting call
·     Outline of what to expect on the day of your casting and how to best prepare
 
If you have not been contacted by an official CFW representative within one week prior to your selected casting call city, you were not selected for a casting, and we thank you for your time.  We kindly ask you do not contact CFW regarding the Model Search and Rock the Runway Competition.  We wish you the best in your future endeavors as an aspiring model.
