The horticultural highlight of winter in the Lowcountry, camellia season is underway

‘Miss Charleston’: First created in Adams Run, South Carolina, in 1961, the ‘Miss Charleston’ camellia is deep red in color and blooms in a semidouble form with a high center.

“Guilio Nuccio Variegated:” One of several in a family of semidouble forms, this camellia was first created around 1956 at Nuccio’s Nurseries in California.
