Harvest Festival

This annual shindig keeps an old tradition alive: in the Colonial days, farming families would come together each autumn to celebrate a successful harvest season with a day of food, games, and music. The present-day fest delivers live tunes from five local bluegrass bands, yummy eats like Carolina barbecue and kettle corn, and a crafters market. Hay rides, a stick-pony corral, pumpkin decorating, archery, and crafts promise to keep the little revelers happy. Mullet Hall Equestrian Center, 2662 Mullet Hall Rd., John’s Island. Saturday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. $8; free for child under 13/Gold Pass holder. (843) 724-5212, www.ccprc.com
