The Warrior Surf Foundation (WSF), a veteran-operated nonprofit that uses surfing as a unique form of therapy for recovering vets, hosts its eighth annual Follywood Oyster Roast. The fundraiser, located at the Barrel, Folly Road's unique brew pub/dog park/music venue, features four tribute bands throughout the day and night, bringing the classic sound of Jimmy Buffett, Allman Brothers, Rolling Stones, Grateful Dead, and Led Zepplin. In addition to unlimited oysters, guests have access to on-site food trucks, as well as booths from a number of local artisans. The family-friendly event offers activities for kids (think jump castles and carnival games), and welcomes all canine friends, too. Proceeds benefit WSF as they continue to bring the healing power of surfing to veterans in the Charleston community. The Barrel, 1859 Folly Rd. Saturday, 12pm-9pm. $14; free for child under 10.
