Sunday Brunch, James Island

Sunday Brunch, James Island
April 2015

This James Island market may be small, but it’s chock-full of great vendors and good energy. Situated in a lot adjacent to Medway Park in charming Riverland Terrace, it feels like a block party, complete with food, music, games, face-painting, and sometimes dancing. On any given Sunday after the spring season opens on March 22, you’ll find lots of neighborhood folks, little ones, dogs, and even a miniature pony and pet goat. Grab a cold-pressed coffee and a sweet bite from Monica at Sablée Patisserie and make the rounds for fresh produce from farms such as Sweet Greens and Compost In My Shoe, as well as poultry and meat products from Fili-West Farms and Righteous Ranch. There’s also plenty of jewelry, soaps, candles (we love the “Tall, Dark, & Handsome” scent from SheSells Candles), interesting plants, and pottery, as well as prepared foods and a variety of food trucks.
