Squire Fox

Squire’s first glimpse of a future in photography came after seeing a spread of Peter Beard stuck in the mouth of an alligator while writing in his journal with beautiful models in the African landscape.

Born into a creative family, Squire was influenced by his mother, a painter and quintessential southern hostess and father and grandfather – all furniture craftsmen who drank bourbon and ate oysters.

After graduating from Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in photography and studies at the Maine Photographic Workshops, Squire moved to NYC in 1993 and assisted with Bruce Webber, George Holz, Gilles Bensimon, and Mary Ellen Mark. Since breaking out on his own, he has developed a client base that includes Vanity Fair, Uk Conde Nast Traveller, Travel & Leisure, Domino, Elle, Town+ Country. W.W. Norton and Lions Gate.

Squire lives with his wife and two children and commutes between NYC and the surf in Charleston SC.
