THE FIRST ANNUAL MODEL COMPETITION
THURSDAY, MARCH 18, 8:45 P.M.
It’s no secret that Charleston Fashion Week and its Emerging Designer Competition: Southeast have helped launch the careers of aspiring regional designers. So with that springboard of success in mind, CFW 2010 showcases more undiscovered talent during the Rock The Runway model competition. Of the more than 600 applicants, only the top 10 will walk before our panel of judges, including MODELSCOUT, Inc. founder Ward Cottrell, fashion and lifestyle photographer Squire Fox, CFW creative director Ayoka Lucas, and Directions USA Model and Artist Management director Pam Warner. The finalists will be judged on walk, appearance, and personality, and one model will strut away with the grand prize—an all-expenses-paid photo shoot with composite cards from MODELSCOUT, Inc., a fashion spread in Charleston magazine or another Gulfstream publication, a two-night trip to Las Vegas including airfare, and $1,000.
