This season, a domestic series by photographer Laura Letinsky captured my attention. My collection evokes the modern woman’s complex position as both homemaker and career person by blending strong silhouettes with soft colors and materials like organza and cotton twill. Since textiles are my signature, I am creating my own prints, mixing traditionally domestic motifs with symbols of the 21st-century woman. By folding, pleating, and manipulating the fabric, I can further abstract the print and then add resin and silicone details in the style of textile artist Tzuri Gueta.
