The long-awaited Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park is opening with a bang. Celebrate the 22 acres of new green space throughout the holiday weekend as you fish off the pier, dance to the East Coast Party Band, nosh on food from local restaurants, and more. The Sweetgrass Cultural Arts Pavilion—which offers historical information on the art form and serves as a venue for basket sewers to sell their wares—and a war memorial will also be dedicated.
