“Jeff Whetstone: Post-Pleistocene”
This enthralling photography exhibit showcases recent works by Jeff Whetstone, recipient of the 2008 Factor Prize, an award given to artists whose work contributes to a new understanding of the South. “Post-Pleistocene” focuses on the marks left behind by generations as they explored the caves of east Tennessee and Alabama. Become enveloped by large-format color photographs displaying everything from the vegetation that surrounds cave openings to the hidden rooms that have provided shelter to all manner of people.
