“Elisa Harkins: Teach Me A Song”

By asking collaborators to “teach her a song,” Native American artist and composer Elisa Harkins hopes to promote the sharing and trading of musical traditions. Building on the artist’s interests in language preservation and indigenous musicology, this Halsey Institute exhibition presents Harkins’ ongoing project, started in 2021, in its entirety.
