The fourth annual Jeremy Scholarship Gala took place on Thursday, April 7 at Lighthouse on the Creek in Mount Pleasant. Hosted by the Chuck and Sara Calhoun Davis Foundation and the College of Charleston's School of Education, Health, and Human Performance, the event featured an extensive silent and live auction, as well as live music.

Guests sipped cocktails while placing bids in the silent auction before heading over to the delicious spread of heavy hors d'oeuvres from Hamby’s Catering. After grabbing plates piled high with cheeses, smoked salmon and cucumbers, pasta with vodka sauce, and small sweet bites, partygoers took part in the live auction or enjoyed the view over Shem Creek.

Jeremy's Gala benefits the Jeremy Warren Vann Memorial Scholarship, which funds teacher education candidates during their clinical practice semester. The Jeremy Warren Vann Memorial Scholarship was founded by the Chuck and Sara Calhoun Davis Foundation in 1999 in commemoration of their son who planned to teach disadvantaged Native American children, but lost his life in a tragic car accident.
