People from all walks of life rocked out at Trident United Way’s annual Battle of the Bands on Thursday, August 26. College students, music lovers, and business folk alike packed into the Music Farm to support local talent, drink a few beers, and grab a bite to eat.

The annual event drew an enthusiastic, ecclectic crowd as well as range of talented contestants. This year’s Battle of the Bands featured a line-up of thirteen bands performing a mix of original music and covers from a range of genres, with On The Hunt performing during the vote count.

Those who attended fluctuated between the front and back of the house, pressing close to the stage when not snacking on pizza, shrimp, or the taco buffet. The Firefly Vodka stand helped keep the mood festive, and each act took the energy to a new level.

Battle of the Bands serves to raise awareness for Trident United Way, whose mission is to improve quality of living throughout our community. The organization focuses primarily on helping to provide education, promote financial security, and increase access to health care.
