“TREEscape”
Learn about one of the Lowcountry’s great ecological treasures, the Angel Oak, in a 700-square-foot exhibit designed by the Children’s Museum’s inaugural artist-in-residence, Jennifer Van Winkle. A variety of inventive activities—including felt boards, leaf sorting and pattern games, discovery spaces, puzzles, and ecology kits—allow children to explore the historic live oak tree in a multisensory way. Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry, 25 Ann St. Tuesday-Saturday, 9am-5pm; Sunday, 1-5pm. $7; free for child under 12 months. (843)853-8962, www.explorecml.org
