College of Charleston theater professor Katie Huard delivers an intriguing modern twist on classic Shakespeare with this story of four teenage students at a Catholic boarding school who pick up a copy of Romeo and Juliet one day after school. The four boys begin acting out the play for kicks, but soon enough, it becomes more than just entertainment. The friends have more in common with the star-crossed lovers than they expected, and interpretations of scenes like the wedding are especially interesting.
