Discuss Charleston’s conservation efforts with top minds during two “green” panel discussions. Through these bluesphere related talks, understand the politics behind environmentally-minded lifestyles. On November 3, “Fueling the Debate” goes over the successes of different energy types with business owner Jamee Haley of Lowcountry Local First and Eve Blossom of Lulan among the panel’s speakers. During “Culture Shock: Local Impact on a Global Problem” hear how the city can shrink its carbon footprint from professors and corporate executives, including Jim Rogers of Duke Energy and Brian Fisher of the College of Charleston’s Political Science department. An all-star cast proclaims optimism for global differences through local changes during the College of Charleston’s Friends of the Library’s Speaker Series.
