Interested in taking a shot at $10,000 and enjoying a fun-filled weekend with a relaxed, small-town feel? Check out this second annual “No Check-Out” fishing tournament with a huge first place payout. If angling isn’t your thing, the Edisto Fish & Shag Fest, held in coordination with the tournament, is another great way to spend the weekend. Bring a couple cans for the Edisto Food Pantry food drive, peruse booths from sponsors and vendors, and marvel at fantastic arts and crafts. And on Saturday night, break out your boogie shoes at 6 p.m. for a shag competition, and then keep on dancing to a live performance by the Catalinas starting at 7 p.m. Times and prices vary for this event.
