Cymbeline
AUGUST 19-22 & SEPTEMBER 2-7
No Shakespearean play is complete without a character to turn everyone else’s lives upside down. In Cymbeline, the wily Iachimo takes on this duty. He makes a bet with Posthumus, a well-meaning lad of low social standing, that any woman can be wooed. Little does Posthumus know that Iachimo plans to test this theory with Posthumus’s fiancée, Imogen. This classic production, directed by Todd McNerney, is presented by the College of Charleston’s Shakespeare Project, which performs two plays each summer. Robinson Theatre, Simons Center for the Arts, 54 St. Philip St. Daily, 8pm. $15; $10 student/faculty/staff/senior. (843)953-6306, www.cofc.edu/theatre
